One interesting fact about these characters is that they don’t talk, they just laugh and cause mischief. I’ve heard on a few occasions now that they’re absolutely hilarious and that they are great comic relief. Rounding out the artwork are the three trouble-making triplets – Hamish, Hubert, and Harris.

The three Fathers who are trying to show off their first-born Sons to Merida are Lord Macintosh (this has to be a nod to Apple), Lord MacGuffin, and Lord Dingwall (a fitting name for his look). I guess this isn’t too far from real life!

Her parents, King Fergus and Queen Elinor are typical of movies – the Father is a bit of a restless, high-tempered spirit and her Mother is the calm and rational one.
